Astream Provides 'Best Streaming'

Astream has been the winner of the Best Streaming Award from the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) for an unprecedented two years in a row.
Judges included senior analysts from: Forrester, Jupiter, Ovum and the Yankee Group.
Astream use their own Content Delivery Network (CDN) to deliver live streams globally. They are proud to webcast the BAFTAs every year for Orange with Myleene Klass as their presenter on the Red Carpet getting interviews with: Kiera Knightley, Sienna Miller, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum.
This event is streamed live to a huge worldwide audience, while the chat system allows discussion alongside the webcast, which can be moderated - ideal for viewer Q&A.
Astream's award-winning hosting now supports ALL formats via their ingress platform which automatically transfers your files to the correct media servers Flash, Windows Media etc.
Astream also want you to monetise your content online. By using their ecommerce solutions you can charge viewers before they can get access to the content. Subscription and Pay Per View are supported either using the Content Protection or Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems.
There is no need to own or use Flash to create your own media player, because the Playergen system does that for you, saving you time and reducing your costs. It automatically recognises you have uploaded new video and then makes a player, skin and webpage which are then published to the web. An email is then sent to you with a link that can be sent or embedded on your website or the Video Content Management System (VCMS).
The encoding system can be used online or installed at your premises. Video is uploaded onto it for compression in predetermined formats, bitrates and sizes including Flash, Windows Media and 3GP for phones.
The files are automatically transferred onto the servers where either the Linkgen or Playergen software can email you the links. Several post-production and TV companies already use this system as part of their approvals and publishing workflow.
The AMP uses the latest technology to provide market leading streaming statistics and reporting with incredible detail. The system automatically updates itself with the latest data on your content's usage. It's a favourite amongst marketeers who can track their audience online in extreme detail. Who has watched what, for how long and from where?
