HHB UDP-89 Provides A DVD/CD Player Professionals Can Depend On

With CD and DVD playback being a requirement of virtually every digital media production facility, the UDP-89 Professional Universal DVD/CD player from professional audio equipment suppliers HHB, provides broadcast professionals with a compact, dependable and fully-featured player capable of impeccable video and audio performance.
Now shipping, the UDP-89 is an industrial strength, 1U rack-mounting device that can play almost any CD or DVD-based AV file format, including CD, DVD-V, DVD-A and SACD. Its comprehensive video connectivity includes component, s-video and digital HDMI, plus RGB and composite outputs.
As might be expected from an HHB product, the UDP-89 audio feature-set is equally well catered for, with balanced and unbalanced stereo and 5.1 surround sound outputs, AES/EBU and S/PDIF outputs for digital audio, and both Dolby Digital and DTS encoded bitstreams.
The inclusion of a multichannel audio preamplifier with level control enables direct connection to powered speaker systems, and the UDP-89 is the ideal reference player for viewing suites or for programme previewing. Broadcast users will also welcome the provision of professional cueing functions and comprehensive remote control provision that includes RS232 and parallel fader-start interfaces.
Ian Jones, HHB Managing Director, said: "Performance and compatibility are the key features of the UDP-89.
"Wherever high-quality audio and video are required, the UDP-89 delivers with maximum quality and minimum fuss, and all with a level of reliability that can't be matched by a consumer device.
"If it's on a CD or DVD, chances are that the UDP-89 will play it and, as such, every broadcast facility, post house and production company should have at least one."
