Pro-Bel Secures Cygnus OB Success With Nobeo In Germany

A German outside broadcast service provider, Nobeo, which is part of the Euro Media Group, has selected routing technology from Pro-Bel. providers of automation, media management and master control solutions and routing, control and signal distribution systems, to sit at the heart of a brand new OB unit.
Based in Hürth and Cologne, nobeo has specified a 576 x 576 Cygnus router for a new 16-camera unit, using both fibre and coax inputs and servicing among other things two master control rooms and a Sony vision mixer.
Cygnus combines a compact form factor with the latest routing technology in a highly cost-effective package. Cygnus is 1080p 3Gbit/s native, and offers up to 576 x 576 routing in a single 26U housing, including PSUs. There is also a 288 x 576 version in a 21U housing.
The OB unit is currently being constructed by systems integrator Sono, an established business partner for nobeo, having already completed the delivery of several HD studios.
