Gefen To Showcase Three New Matrix Systems At IBC2008

At Stand 7.B31 at IBC2008, Gefen, providers of leading-edge connectivity solutions with signal extension, integration, optimisation, distribution and conversion capabilities, will be showcasing three new matrix switching systems, each allowing a simple method of connecting multiple, high definition audio/video sources and multiple displays.
Complete matrix switching is controlled by a Gefen IR remote control or by smart control devices connection through the RS-232 port available on all three rack mountable units.
Source switching occurs instantly, so there is no downtime or noticeable lagging between source selections, making all three systems ideal for professional applications.
The 8x4 HDMI Matrix is a unique matrix switcher, which allows up to eight HDMI sources, including gaming systems, disk players and satellite television systems, to be accessed at any time from any one of four HDMI displays or projectors. When selected, each source delivers 1080p full HD instantly to its assigned display with multi-channel audio for an engaging hi-def experience.
The 8x8 DVI Matrix is a high definition video extender, designed for professional computer systems, and enables a direct connection among eight DVI computers and eight DVI displays. An optional 8x8 Matrix RMT remote control enables the entire integrated system, including all eight computers and displays, to be accessed and controlled remotely from up to 300 metres in distance. This is an ideal solution for editing bays and networking professional studios equipped with DVI computer systems.
The 4x4 Component Audio over CAT5 Matrix is a dual-function switcher, this matrix enables direct connections among any four component video sources and four displays. Each video input and output supports audio in digital and analogue stereo audio formats for a complete audio/video experience.
Users can also opt to use small, individual receivers for each display to extend video and audio signals over just one CAT-5 cable up to 300 metres in distance with a perfect replication of audio and video resolutions to 1080p.
