TM Studios Installs SSL C300 HD Master Studio System

TM Studios, a subsidiary of Triton Radio Networks and a leading producer of music and content for the broadcast industry, has installed a Solid State Logic C300 HD-32 Master Studio System console in Studio A.
The C300 was purchased to manage the incredible volume and variety of projects, while providing the signature SSL sound quality consistently sought after by the top professionals.
Marcus Hill, TM's Vice President of Operations, said: "We're like kids on Christmas morning. We looked at every console on the market and concluded the C300 HD was the best choice.
"The combination of versatility, ergonomics and, of course, the incredible sonic quality was the deciding factor. A typical day in Studio A may involve work on a dozen or more wildly different projects, so the C300's Instant ResetT capability is a necessity for us to help streamline our production throughput."
TM Studios creates, products and distributes music-based products and services for broadcast media and film use. Clients include radio and television stations, satellite and internet networks, websites, the Armed Forces Radio Network, and numerous advertising agencies and commercial businesses. Company product lines include music compilation libraries and services, production music, commercial jingles, radio and TV station imaging packages, morning show prep, and comedy services, along with numerous on-line imaging products. TM Studios' products are broadcast on every continent, including Antarctica.
According to Hill, servicing the massive client base enjoyed by TM Studios is a 24/7 proposition, so the upgrade to Studio A was extremely important for the future of the company.
The C300 HD-32 installed in Studio A features 64 channels of digital I/O, 36 mic-/line ADC inputs w/split outputs, 48 24-bit analog line-level I/O, 64 MADI I/O channels, with processing power enough to drive up to 192 DSP channels. The console easily handles multi-channel mix formatting for up to 7.1 surround sound projects, direct control of up to four DAWs with simultaneous access of console signal paths and DAW tracks.
Hill explained: "We had a good run with our last console. Technology, however, has allowed us to shift to a completely different mode of operation, and the 300 HD integrates beautifully into our DAW-based methodology. We're excited to be part of the SSL family."
Solid State Logic is a leading manufacturer of analogue and digital audio consoles and provider of creative tools for music, broadcast and post production professionals.
