New Appointment For Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Business

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has named Alain Pecot Regional Director of Southern Europe for Harris Broadcast Communications, effective from August 4.
Based in France, Pecot will apply his extensive industry experience to grow Harris Broadcast's business in the region and to provide strong leadership to all Harris employees in France.
Pecot joins Harris from Thomson, where he held the position of Chief Marketing and Technology Officer for the company's Networks & Integration Solutions for integrating recently merged companies, defining product line road maps and managing product life cycles to reduce time to market and improve quality.
Previously, Pecot served as director, channel and new services, for the company's Grass Valley division, where he was responsible for development of a new distribution channel and an e-commerce solution to address the professional market.
Prior to joining Thomson, Pecot worked for Sony Broadcast & Professional Europe, where he held progressively responsible roles culminating in director, media business for Western Europe.

Harris Broadcast Communications operations in France include the sales team responsible for France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Northern Africa, together with after-sales support, project management and product development. Harris Sales operations based in Italy will also report into Pecot.
Pecot earned a master's degree (DESS) in business administration from the Paris Institute of Business Management (IAE), Université Panthéon-Sorbonne: a license degree in audiovisual communication techniques from the Université de Valenciennes; and a degree in physics from the Université de Rouen.
