Harris Announces New Appointment

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has appointed Sally Wallington Regional Director of its Broadcast Communications business for the territory covering the UK, Ireland, Israel, South Africa and Central Africa.
Based in Harris Corporation's European headquarters in Winnersh, Berkshire, UK, Wallington will be responsible for growing the Harris broadcast business and driving the region's sales operation.
With over 25 years in the broadcast industry, primarily in transmission and television operations, Wallington successfully managed the professional services operation for the company's media business before and after the Harris acquisition of Encoda in 2004. Previously, Wallington held editorial and operational roles at Flextech and Channel 4 in London and Network Ten in Sydney, Australia.
Richard Scott, Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa operations for Harris Broadcast Communications, said: "We are delighted to make this announcement, as Sally has been a pivotal member of the Harris team in Europe for a number of years.
"She was instrumental in the integration of the Encoda business when Harris made that acquisition and has since proved to be a significant asset to our growing business. With our wealth of industry experience in management and business development, Sally is ideally suited to this new sales role within Harris Broadcast's European operations."
Wallington holds an honours degree in linguistics from University College London, UK.
