Panther Signed By Jango

A global provider of high-performance content delivery services, Panther Express, has announced that it has been selected to provide rich media and audio delivery services for Jango.com
Jango is a fast-growing new social music site which has quickly become a popular destination sites for listening to music and connecting with others who share similar tastes.
Dedicated to making online music "easy, fun, and social", Jango is a free service that lets listeners create their own custom radio stations and share them with friends and others.
Listeners type in their favourite artists - and then their personal station will play the music they want, along with favourites of other Jango users who share similar tastes.
Jango selected Panther Express because it could provide the best value solution to deliver their challenging rich media - both graphics and audio - required for a Web 2.0 social networking site based upon smooth, clean delivery of uninterrupted online music.
"Our audience demands the best - they want fast performance and responsiveness at all hours of the day and night," said Dan Kaufman, Chief Executive Officer of Jango.
"If our social community applications don’t work or if music skips or sounds distorted, our discerning and technically savvy members will go elsewhere for their music.
"To keep them happy, we have been using Panther Express for several months now and we, both management and tech staff, have been very impressed by the exceptional performance, support and reliability.
"Not only does Panther's network architecture technically scale to meet our needs, but their service offering fits within the budget of a growing start up."
Kevin Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Panther Express commented: "Jango is one of the hottest and most interesting Web 2.0 destinations on the web – it combines two things we love – music and social networking.
"They had their pick of CDNs, but ultimately chose Panther to partner with. We are very proud that Jango has recognized Panther Express's expertise in delivering rich media – and we look forward to supporting their efforts to continually bring new and better user experiences to the social music landscape."
Jango is a social music service that lets people create and share custom radio stations. Founded in 2006 and based in New York City, Jango is licensed by ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and SoundExchange.
