Audio Network To Record At Abbey Road

Broadcast audio producer and supplier Audio Network is recording a series of surround sound tracks with the UK’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the world famous Abbey Road Studios, it was announced by Juliette Squair, Business Development Director at Audio Network.
Once recorded, the mixed tracks will be available to Audio Network clients in 5.1 surround sound. In addition Audio Network will be able to offer its back catalogue and all new music recordings in 5.1 surround sound.
5.1 surround sound quality audio tracks are becoming increasingly important as the number of High Definition channels continues to grow around the world. Producers, particularly in the US, are keen to offer viewers of their shows the best possible sound experience and 5.1 surround sound is key.
Andrew Sunnucks Co-Founder and Managing Director at Audio Network commented: "We know that our customers have come to expect a high quality product, not only in terms of composers and musicians, but also in the way our music is recorded and mixed in this digital age. We are very excited to now be able to deliver all our material in surround sound.
"We are also delighted to be strengthening our relationship with the RPO at this brand new recording. It can be significantly cheaper to record overseas, particularly Eastern Europe, but the top British orchestras are in a different league and the RPO in particular has an edge which is simply not available elsewhere in Europe," he said.
Ian Maclay, Managing Director, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra added: "We very much enjoy working with Audio Network and creating music with their great composers who write such a variety of music. The Orchestra loves a challenge and the Audio Network boys always keep us on our toes."
Terry Devine-King, one of Audio Network’s top composers added: "Working with Audio Network is always a great experience for a composer. They don't compromise in any way which means we always get to work with the best players, singers and orchestras for the job in a great atmosphere. The RPO sessions are particularly rewarding because the orchestra really is as good as it gets and, if you combine its talent with the fantastic sound of the Abbey Road room, you’re guaranteed to produce high quality music."
