Telegenic And Vinten Make Winning Combination

Sports and live events OB specialists Telegenic, who have been covering key sports and live event broadcasts for some of the world's leading production companies for over 30 years, can now boast a fleet of sophisticated HD OB trucks designed to their own specifications from camera support equipment provider Vinten.
The OB units are regularly equipped with tripods and heads that are hired from Vinten. "Using Vinten Equipment Hire provides us with the reassurance that we don't have to worry about checking the equipment said Rhiannon Evans, Facilities Co-ordinator at Telegenic. It always works, first time, no problem. That makes life a lot easier when you're working on live, high pressure outside broadcasts."
"One of our recent applications with Vinten hired equipment has been coverage of the America's Cup yacht race in Valencia, Spain which brings its own unique set of demanding conditions. We are now working with Vinten for coverage of the Rugby Union season, which kicked off in August."
Telegenic are also using Vinten equipment for coverage of the UEFA Champions League and regular national UK football matches including the Premier League, Championship, League One and Two.
Vinten supply Telegenic with a wide range of camera support equipment and Osprey pedestals. With equipment requirements and specifications changing so frequently, hiring enables Telegenic to provide their customers with state of the art broadcast facilities, without frequent and major capital outlay on upgrades.
"Vinten always supply a high standard of equipment," added Rhiannon. "We purchase equipment from them and use the Service Department, in addition to our regular hire contract. We find this combination of equipment hire, purchase and after sales service works really well for us and we have an excellent rapport with the Vinten team, they really understand our broadcast needs, and most importantly do it with a smile."
