Top Professional Broadcast Products From AJ Niemeyer At Mediatech 2009

Leading distributor AJ Niemeyer will be demonstrating a range of broadcast equipment at Mediatech, between July 23 and 25, including the latest camera supports from Vinten, a Vitec Group brand and global leader in camera supports and robotics from Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand and global leader in camera automation.
The new Vinten Vision AS range of pan and tilt heads were launched at NAB 2009 and are designed to provide camera payloads between 2kg and 14.5kg. For the first time, even the lightest cameras can benefit from Vinten's unique Perfect Balance technology, which allows the camera to be moved in any direction with smooth and adjustable drag and set at any tilt angle without backlash or creep.
The Vinten Vision AS range also features a new look, developed in response to feedback from users around the world. The design is based around careful ergonomics, putting the controls where the operator needs them, and to stand up to life on the road.
Tony Niemeyer said: "This is a very competitive business, dominated by freelancers spending their own money who demand high quality, reliability and low cost of ownership. The Vision AS range gives users unrivalled performance, coupled with the confidence from the Vinten brand that the head will give them a long and productive life."
Vinten Radamec is a global leader in camera automation and AJ Niemeyer will demonstrate the convenience and flexibility of the latest robotics. The new Vinten Radamec Fusion FH100 is the only robotic pan and tilt head stable enough to provide broadcast quality camera moves on shot, with full servo control of digital lenses from Canon and Fujinon. Within seconds the FH100 can be converted to manual use, performing exactly the way an operator experienced with Vinten equipment would expect.
The Fusion FBH175 adds robotic elevation to existing pedestals such as the Vinten Osprey Elite. Complementing these in the Mediatech demonstration will be the Vinten Radamec products. It supports the creation of picture-based sequences of camera positions and moves through its touchscreen user interface, and for broadcasters looking to move to complete news automation for the VRC has interfaces to the popular production automation systems to allow camera moves to be incorporated into playlists.
Tony Niemeyer said: "Vinten Radamec is a pioneer in robotic camera systems and remains at the forefront of the technology today. It offers a scalable and practical approach whatever the operational requirements. The resilient and reliable performance you expect from Vinten Radamec, together with the cost savings from releasing camera staff to other tasks, means the return on investment is real and quickly realised."
The AJ Niemeyer stand at Mediatech, B30, will also feature information on the full range of Vinten pedestals, tripods and heads and details of Vinten Radamec robotics for other applications including parliamentary buildings, courts and conference centres.
Other brands on display from the Vitec Group include Anton Bauer batteries and Autoscript prompting products. AJ Niemeyer is a leading supplier of world class broadcast equipment to the professional television and film industry. Products are supplied direct to the customer at world list prices, ensuring the most competitive prices for users in South Africa and the rest of the continent.
