Panasonic Introduce 3CCD AVC HD Handheld Camcorder Delivering 1080i Video

The recently released Panasonic AG-HSC1U AVCHD handheld camcorder is the world�s smallest professional 3CCD AVC HD camcorder.
Weighing in at a deminutive 1.1 pounds, it is billed as ideal for widescreen, high-resolution event documentation, presentation, training, coaching, and video production applications, and offers not only 1080i recording but also a 5.1 channel surround sound system - with a zoom microphone function.
With no moving parts, the AG-HSC1U runs silently and is less susceptible to damage from shock and vibration.
The camera's Leica Dicomar optical lens system incorporates 13 lenses in 10 groups with 21 multicoated surfaces, and features an F1.8 lens with a 43-millimetre filter. Optical image stabilisation adds to the quality of recorded images.
The AG-HSC1U supports the advanced AVC HD (H.264) video format and records up to 88 minutes of video (41 minutes at the highest-quality mode) on a high-speed 4 GB SDHC memory card.
During operation in the field, the battery-operated 40 GB hard disk drive (included) can hold the content of ten 4 GB SD cards.
The AG-HSC1U is packaged with HD Writer 1.0 software, which enables simple edits and recording onto DVD-R media. Professional editing software from third-party NLE vendors is available on request.
