AVC Lands Top Ten Place For Video Production In UK

Aberdeen-based AVC Media Enterprises Media Productions Division has been officially announced as the top corporate production house in Scotland and ranked as number six in the UK by industry magazine Televisual.
With a turnover of £6.8 million in 2006, AVC has climbed 20 places since last year's survey as the company reports the most profitable year in its 31-year history.
With the Top 50 rankings heavily contested, the magazine states that the total turnover of its Top 50 companies comes to a staggering £244 million.
2006 saw AVC's Award winning Media Productions Division branch into new areas, with rapid growth in television commercial production following the success of the company's advertising division. With this set to grow, AVC continues to dominate the market in oil and gas related video production working for a blue-chip client list, as well as clients in other areas, such as the Scottish Executive and Sky.
Spencer Buchan, Director of AVC Media Enterprises commented: "To jump 20 places in the Televisual Top 50 is a great result for us and confirms our position as a major player in the field of corporate video production. Even more gratifying is that it shows there are quality production houses out with London and the Central Belt.
"We are continuing to grow the business and branch out into new areas over the next year. Television Commercial production accounted for around 10% of our business last year and we hope to see dramatic growth in this area in 2007."
