London UK Film Focus Seeking Breakthrough Feature Films

Film export event London UK Film Focus (LUFF) is looking for completed British feature films unrepresented by a UK sales agent to screen in its Breakthrough strand, supported by UK trade & investment.
Breakthrough aims to expose new talent to sales agents and international distributors, with a dedicated screen hosting four screenings per day over three days. Films must be British, not seen in any festival or market prior to 2007, and of theatrical length and quality.
Several titles which screened in the strand last year were subsequently selected for international festivals.
Helena Mackenzie, Head of International at Film London said: "Breakthrough offers producers a real chance to raise their game and be seen by major industry players, potentially attracting sales agents and international interest.
"This year's London UK Film Focus will take place in London from Monday 25 - Thursday 28 June 2007 at the official venue of the BFI Southbank and is strictly by invitation only. The three-day event provides a platform to celebrate and promote British films to the international market. 150 international buyers from all world territories will be invited to see around 40 titles.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm, Friday 30 March 2007. Viewing copies should be on DVD. Selected titles will need to be supplied on digi-beta formats, subject to technical facilities and there is a fee of £300 to cover accreditation at LUFF and provide access for two delegates to attend all LUFF events.
Unfortunately DVD's cannot be returned and the selector's decision is final.
