Eyeheight Adds More OmniTek LAB Systems for R&D

Leading test and measurement manufacturer OmniTek recently announced that Eyeheight has bought two further OmniTek LAB integrated HD/SD waveform analyzer and signal generator systems for use in its R&D department.
“We were one of OmniTek’s first customers back in 2002 and we have used their systems extensively in our development laboratory,” commented Steve Crocker, Technical Director, Eyeheight. “We are currently expanding our product line, and the obvious choice was to buy two more LABs. The solutions is extremely versatile, providing SD and HD digital video generation and analysis all in one integrated package.”
The OmniTek LAB is the most popular integrated video toolkit for R&D engineers the world over. Containing a full-motion signal generation system combined with a high-resolution waveform and digital data analyzer, the OmniTek LAB is the equipment of choice for all the major professional broadcast equipment manufacturers. New for IBC 2006 are full-resolution video proxies, and improved display update rates.
At IBC stand 6.329, OmniTek will also be demonstrating the new TQ system: A totally integrated broadcast monitoring system for SD/HD video, audio (including Dolby), and many different kinds of metadata. The TQ is the most recent addition to OmniTek’s expanding range of products, which also includes the OmniTek XR for precision post production video monitoring and the OmniTek PQA which gives a range of picture quality analysis tools for evaluating video signal loss due to a compression encoder, composite decoder or other lossy processes.
