Picture Canning anticipate HD Z-link
Picture Canning has been championing Cove Broadcast’s Z-Link since its release using the system on numerous locations.
The lightweight cabling and end to end digital quality has made the rigging hassle free and given great picture quality on projects that include: The Sony radio awards, a concert by Greek singer Anna Vissi and an ITV Sunday morning program.
In addition various non-broadcast projects such as a football special for the England Sweden world cup match – including Sky’s Andy Gray doing a full half time and end of match analysis complete with pundits and action replays from our hard disk.
Picture Canning’s Steve Everson said: “The Z-link enables us to set up in a limited time and its light weight certainly helped where we have had to fly cables over the pavement and into the building."
Everson added: “All in all the Z-link system has proved to be reliable and easy to work with and we are looking forward to our next step – the upgrade to HD."
Picture Canning are a supply centre for all broadcast and corporate productions.
