Picture Canning Expands Its Growing Selection Of Vintage Lenses

News Image
Facilities house Picture Canning has recently expanded its growing selection of vintage prime lenses, with several new additions.

Among the collection is a set of Canon K35 prime lenses. These vintage lenses are great for a wide range of productions from commercials, fashion shoots, branded content and music videos, given their unique flares and halation characteristics. Providing sharp images and a nice contrast, the lenses are incredibly fast and robust.

Picture Canning also recently acquired a set of Cooke XTAL Anamorphics. These high-speed vintage lenses are believed to be one of only about 8 sets in the world, and are available for rental from all of Picture Canning's offices. Cinematographers can now enjoy the unique flares and distortions the lenses offer, without losing any image detail.

Jamie Hutchinson, MD of Picture Canning, said: "Over the last few months we have received a increasing number of enquiries about vintage lens sets from our clients, who love the cinematic look that can be achieved with them. We work hard to make sure that our stock reflects industry demand, so are constantly adding to our collection."

Picture Canning has a number of other lens sets in its growing vintage stock, including both anamorphic and spherical lenses.
