New miniature microphones on hire from Picture Canning

Broadcast and facilities firm Picture Canning Company has taken delivery of three DPA4066 Miniature Microphone Headbands, from Sound Network.
The solution to many a miking problem, in situations where ‘sweating out’ a microphone is a real possibility, these mics are now available from the PCC hire department and have already been used in a number of productions.
Head of PCCs Audio Department Ian Coles explained: “These mics will be added to our comprehensive microphone hire list. We have previously had a lot of success with our DPA4061 mics, with our OB Facilities. Since the Olympics, we have had a lot of requests for the DPA4066 Head band mic. They are very popular in non studio environments as the mic is always in the best position, with the contributor never being able to turn off the mic.”
The Miniature Microphones are said to be resistant to humidity, and sweat, and are designed to take high sound levels (144dB SPL) suitable for loud commentary and vocals.
