Long distance video extender from Gefen traverses 10 kilometres with pefect clarity
Sending digital video resolutions beyond a few hundred metres can be challenging, but Gefen’s new DVI-3000 HD extender bridges up to 10 kilometres in distance with ease.
The DVI-3000 HD sender and receiver system relies on high quality fibre optics cables (single or dual mode SC) to transmit digital visuals at resolutions up to 1280x1024.
Hegal Gefen, President and CEO commented: "This Gefen DVI-3000 HD is the natural progression of our DVI-2000 HD and –1000 HD models, designed to extend HD digital video up to 500 metres."
Though complex in its inner workings, installation is plug and play, requiring simple connections at both local and remote locations. A 12v power supply feeds the entire system the juice it needs to perform at these ultra long distances.
