ITV CELEBRITY SHOW MOVES UP SCHEDULE

ITV is pushing ahead with plans to commission a long-running live, teatime celebrity show from as early as next month, and is poised to offer the contract to Carlton TV.
ITV controller of documentaries and features Dianne Nelmes is understood to want Carlton to produce a daily 30-minute live show for the 17.00 weekday slot, as a replacement for the planned OK! TV series, which was shelved last month.
Sources close to the negotiations say ITV director of programmes, David Liddiment, is keen to schedule the show from the end of September.
With a provisional title of ‘Celeb-TV’, the series will be executively produced by Carlton’s Head of Factual Department, Nick Bullen.
A number of representatives are in the frame, including GMTV’s Fiona Philips and former Big Breakfast presenter, Lisa Tarbuck.
