Broadcast LIVE to deliver UK’s first truly tapeless workflow at an exhibition

Broadcast LIVE will be the first exhibition to display a truly tapeless workflow, walking the attendee through the creation, management and delivery of content.
The show’s feature areas have been designed and integrated on the exhibition floor to provide visitors with a first hand look at this process, and free daily
sessions, by BBC Training and Soho Editors, will provide valuable information from key industry experts. Created by techIT solutions this multi-platform environment, based on workflows from Avid and Apple, will be linked through a fibre network managed by two individual SAN’s (Storage Area Network).
Create will be a fully functioning HD sound stage with full HD Cameras, HD Lighting and set design as well as two live uncompressed HD ingest stations.
An example of the daily sessions: Shooting for Multi-platform, HD TV by Design; tips for HD Makeup, Costume and Set Design, Lighting for HD.
Manage will be a cross-platform post production facility and the IT backbone for the two workflows utilizing SAN technologies as well as the latest in
editing software from both Avid and Apple with daily sessions including; 'Make the most of your HD content', 'Multi Cam – Editing and Finishing with Final Cut Pro HD' and 'Tapeless Production Workflow – Managing Realtime Resources with Avid'.
Mitcorp, as the headline sponsor for Create and Manage, will be managing the equipment distribution and overall management for all broadcast interests in
the workflow. Associate sponsors for Create are Cirrolite who also provided the lighting design for the stage area and the associate sponsor for Manage is Tektronix.
Deliver will be an area dedicated to the final delivery of all content produced in this tapeless workflow to the following mediums: HD broadcast, web solutions, vodcasting and delivering content to mobile phones.
National Grid Wireless as headline sponsor for Deliver will be using its latest technology offerings in the realms of HD broadcast and mobile telecommunications in conglomeration with technology partners Forbidden Technologies and the Digital Television Group. MGt, associate sponsor of Deliver, will be on stand F20 exhibiting how it can protect, connect and collect revenues across all broadcast platforms.
The integration of the whole workflow was provided by techIT Solutions International working with partners Soho Editors Training and BBC Training to successfully communicate the solutions to the attendee.
