MEDIA 100 ACQUIRE STRATEGIC ICE TECHNOLOGY

MEDIA 100, providers of software, systems and services for streaming media on the internet, have announced the acquisition of key technology assets and intellectual properties from ICE (Integrated Computing Engines).
Under the deal Media 100 will continue the production of accelerator technology from ICE who provide solutions for streaming media from the desktop.
Media 100 Managing Director for the UK region Rob Pickering said: “Working with the best ICE resellers will assist us in reaching an even wider audience with streaming media solutions.”
ICE technology is currently integrated into Media 100’s flagship Media Cleaner PowerSuite streaming media production system, and will be incorporated in future enhanced developments of the product line.
ICE acceleration technology significantly increases the speed and quality of the compression process used in streaming media content.
The distribution and Value Added Reseller channel created by ICE will be maintained and further developed by Media 100, adding to their existing channels to market.
