Media 100 to showcase new products at IBC 2004

Media 100 will showcase its latest product offerings in the Optibase booth at IBC 2004 in Hall 2, stand #249, and make several key announcements relating to the future development of its flagship 844/X and Media 100 HD product lines.
Media 100 will unveil major development efforts to further extend the capabilities of 844/X, based on doubling its engineering and support staff, a step made possible by the backing of Optibase.
"This year's IBC promises to be our most memorable yet," said Mike Savello, Media 100 vice president of sales and marketing. "With the significant financial backing of Optibase we are stronger and more competitive than ever before and that is reflected in our new product roadmap. For the first time since the introduction of 844/X, we have the resources to build the features that our customers have asked for into our forthcoming releases."
For the first time in Europe, Media 100 will be demonstrating the new, recently announced, Media 100 HD Version 10 software release featuring 99 tracks of video, RGB/HSL colour correction, an advanced keyer, and a software codec featuring full motion-alpha channel support. Media 100 HD, first previewed at NAB in April, is anticipated to ship in Q4 of 2004.
Media 100 will also demonstrate 844/X Version 3.0, the largest software expansion of 844/X since the system's inception with many new real-time, multi-stream capabilities. 844/X Version 3.0, dubbed the Visual Effects Release, features advanced keying, 3D DVEs, shadow and glow effects, XML-based metadata interchange and a range of new performance optimisations for editing longer-form, layer-intensive projects.
Both products will be shown in the Media 100 theatre on the Optibase stand, 2.249, and in private demonstration suites.
