Autoscript teleprompters prepare tomorrow’s newsreaders

As Director of Audio-Video Production at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, Rick Bengston’s job is to ensure that Belmont’s Media Studies students receive the best possible theoretical and technical training.
To augment their new broadcast studio, the department purchased and installed two Autoscript 12" TFT High Brightness on-camera units designed to meet the high demands of studio and location productions. These on-camera units, combined with the Autoscript “Win-Plus VGA” software have been integrated into Belmont’s new studio and have performed flawlessly, as well as being remarkably easy to set up and use. Bengston said, “A university budget is always tight so I don’t have the luxury of replacing technology every year, so it’s very important I recommend and purchase products of high technical standards, but that are also reliable, flexible and durable.
“I’m particularly impressed with the way Autoscript designs its technology to provide the best quality and reliability. Although these teleprompters were purchased for studio use, we could easily use them on location. Autoscript prompters are so light and compact we could readily break them down in the studio for location production.“
