Miranda Technologies to show iControl at NAB 2006

Miranda Technologies will be showing its iControl end-to-end facility monitoring and control system at NAB 2006.
A world leader in monitoring and control systems for television service providers and broadcasters, Miranda has pioneered 'monitoring by exception' (MBE) to offer more efficient control in large multichannel facilities.
With MBE operators can focus their attention on television channels with alarm conditions using a highly adapted investigation window.
iControl uses customised graphical representations of one or more facilities to create a highly intuitive control environment with harmonised signal and device monitoring. It's based on industry-standard SNMP protocols to allow effective monitoring and control of the video infrastructure, as well as the networking and building systems.
Multiple third-party applications can be hosted in the iControl interface to provide elegant control of third-party and Miranda equipment, and these applications may be selected manually or presented automatically.
As channel lineups and signal paths change, iControl can continually update itself to reflect correctly the nature and configuration of the devices, and this ensures that multichannel monitoring is performed accurately.
Another key feature is an autopilot capability, which can guide operators through complex diagnostic and repair procedures and even completely automate tasks.
It provides operators with problem diagnostics including the identification of the device that is most likely the source of a problem, automatic display of control applications to focus on the device or area at the source of the problem, a message describing a recommended course of action to circumvent the problem rapidly, and a list of required device adjustments to correct the problem.
