Autodesk demonstrates commitment to students with 3ds Max 8 bundle for schools

Autodesk Media and Entertainment division has announced a special bundle for Autodesk 3ds Max 8 3D modelling and animation software, only available to secondary schools.
The package includes a 3ds Max 8 starter pack, 30-user 3ds Max 8 additional licenses and 30 3ds Max 8 two-year student licenses. Secondary schools can buy this bundle for £1,500 + VAT, making a saving of almost £5000 on the normal retail price.
This solution is put together specifically to meet the cross-curriculum needs of secondary schools – helping educators to inspire a new generation of students to excel in a digital world.
Schools and colleges can also benefit from Autodesk’s flexible licensing policy, which supports network, standalone and student home use.
Secondary schools can purchase the 3ds Max bundle on the Autodesk website at www.autodesk.co.uk, or by contacting their local educational reseller.
3ds Max software is used to generate 3D visual effects for films such as ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ and ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’, and for most PC and console games such as ‘Peter Jackson’s King Kong: the Official Game of the Movie’, ‘Halo 2’ and the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series.
3ds Max is also used to create final design and cinematics in renowned architectural firms such as Foster & Partners, Hayes Davidson and Uniform.
