SWR brings graphics to life with Chyron
Chyron Corporation has announced a major order from German public broadcaster, Südwestrundfunk (SWR).
The contract, including training, commissioning and support, was handled by Chyron GmbH in Wiesbaden.
SWR, a large station in Germany’s public broadcasting network ARD, has added to its existing Chyron infrastructure by installing four of Chyron’s flagship Duet HyperX Character Generators (CGs) and three Chyron Duet LEX CGs with the award-winning Lyric compositing application. In addition, Chyron will supply 17 seats of the Lyric application for use with SWR’s AVID non-linear editing suites.
Situated in three locations across Germany including Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and Mainz, the Chyron Duet HyperXs and Chyron Duet LEXs will play a key role in providing SWR with sophisticated, live 2D/3D on-air graphics for its busy sports and news operations.
