Harris Corporation unveils Leitch ICON master control and branding family

Harris Corporation has announced it is showcasing its new Leitch ICON master control and branding family of standard-definition/high-definition (SD/HD) products - ICONMASTER, ICONSTATION and ICONLOGO - at last week’s Inter The International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition (BEE) 2005.
ICONMASTER, based on Leitch's industry-leading NEO modular platform, combines critical master control functions with multi-layer integrated branding. ICONMASTER is the only master control that can be combined with other advanced applications, such as the NEO SuiteView multi-viewer series or the new NEO XHD up, down, cross and M-Path (multi-path) converter series, to create the ultimate plug-and-play system - all in the same frame. A two NEO-slot solution, ICONMASTER allows users the flexibility to choose the best configuration and options to create a complete, self-contained channel release system, while providing room to grow as user requirements evolve. ICONMASTER is available in either SDTV or HDTV versions, and the SDTV version is easily field-upgradeable to HDTV.
ICONSTATION (formerly Inscriber IncaStation) is the first branding solution to combine logo insertion with multiple real-time data crawls and a squeezeback DVE for maximum channel branding impact. Ideally suited to either large or small broadcasters seeking a reliable on-air branding solution, ICONSTATION includes Inscriber's award-winning character generator for superior title and graphic creation, and is ideal for enhanced or demanding applications requiring functions such as Lbars effects, template-driven channel playout, unlimited layering and multi-level animation/still insertion.
ICONLOGO (formerly LogoMotion II) is Leitch's modular branding solution based on the NEO platform. Significant new ICONLOGO features are now available, including support for crawls and EAS as well as a new software GUI, and are made possible as software functionality and advanced graphics capabilities are shared across the ICON family.
Ideal for channel-branding applications such as time/temperature, still/animations, audio clip playback and text crawls for breaking news, ICONLOGO also protects the customer's investment by providing easy upgrade paths from ICONLOGO SDTV to ICONLOGO HDTV and even an upgrade path from ICONLOGO to a full ICONMASTER.
