FINISHING SCHOOL ADD COMMOTION TRAINING

UK Company Pinnacle have announced that ‘Commotion’, their video and film effects solution, is now on the curriculum at the Finishing School, the new training centre for the National Film & Television School (NFTS).
Commotion has been included because of its proliferation in the in the industry. Training organisers say that so many broadcasters and production companies use the system that it is crucial for The Finishing School's graduates are trained in its operation.
Saint John Walker, Director of the Finishing School said: "The Finishing School provides training in digital compositing, effects and animation. Our courses are designed to bring new talent into the post-production industry so it is important that we reflect what's being used in the real world. Commotion is proving to be a very popular system which is used by many of the people who will employ our students, and when we realised the strength of demand for Commotion expertise we immediately added it to the curriculum."
The Finishing School has bought six units that have been incorporated into the flagship digital compositing course.
Students will use them to carry out a number of paint and rotoscoping exercises to professional standards.
