BBC MEDIAARC COMPLETE BRITANNIC COMMERCIALS

BBC MediaArc, a digital media agency specialising in design, visual imaging and interactive systems, have completed a series of advertisements for Britannic Assurance to be aired on cable TV from December 6.
Phil Beamish, responsible for on-line communications at Britannic Assurance, said: “We are using this pilot as a way of testing a new channel market for Britannic. We will be hitting the homes of over 400,000 users nation-wide, and will be extensively monitoring the 12-week period with a strong research focus that will allow us to develop and define our complete interactive customer proposition.”
In addition to the interactive advertisements, BBC MediaArc’s brief was to design banner and microsite ads for a range of financial products for ntl’s recently launched electronic programme guide (EPG) on the ONdigital platform.
The ads feature a financial game show, lead by a virtual host, and includes seasonal design and copy updates. The BBC’s winning concept was based on a development of the current Britannic brand, which helps to position it through the interactive TV medium.
