BBC ENGAGE NEW CREATIVE AGENCIES

BBC Marketing & Communications have appointed Abbot Mead Vickers.BBDO, Duckworth Finn Grubb Waters and Fallon to their new advertising agency roster.
The agencies will work with the BBC teams in M&C and Creative Services on major campaigns across the BBC’s public service brands and initiatives.
They will also provide project support to the marketing teams in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Faulds have been reappointed in Scotland.
David Grint, the BBC’s new Head of Marketing Planning who has overseen the roster review, said: “The new roster is designed to meet the needs of the recently integrated Marketing & Communications division at the BBC and, we believe gives us an incredibly strong backbone for the next few years of intense activity across all our services. We believe each agency complements the other and that the new roster will encourage creative and strategic collaboration both with each other and with the BBC and their own internal creative services department.”
The review has reduced the number of agencies used across the previously disparate marketing functions within the BBC from 10 to 4 and will mean greater effectiveness and cost efficiency.
The roster review was a public service statutory requirement under EC regulations and the new roster will exist for a minimum of three years. It did not cover external media planning and buying which continues to be handled by the New PHD.
