Leader introduce LT292 HD/SD SDI Line Checker

Leader (stand 8.393) has announced a new addition to its range of broadcast test equipment.
Making its European debut at IBC, the LT292 digital line checker detects, displays and logs transmission errors in HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals. All major high definition production and transmission video formats are supported, including three variants of 1080i, six variants of 1080p, five variants of 1080Ps and two variants of 720p. In the standard definition domain, the instrument is fully compatible with 625i/50 and 525i/59.94.
Separate HD-SDI and SD-SDI inputs are provided, incoming signal format being autodetected and reclocked to the output. A 40 character (2 x 20) LED display is used for readout of operational data including signal format and instrument settings. Detected errors include video freeze, colour bar continuity, black level, AES/EBU embedded audio mute continuity and digital audio tone continuity.
Error data can be output via Ethernet through to Leader's recently announced FS3019 online analysis software. Performance logs can be recorded within the LT292, stored on plug-in Compact Flash memory or exported via Ethernet. Remote control is via a D-sub connector on the rear panel.
Leader's patented equivalent-cable-length display facility enables the LT292 to monitor the intensity of the incoming SDI signal stream in terms of coaxial cable length. This feature provides a useful safeguard against loss of digital pulse quality arising from excessively long cable runs.
The LT292 occupies a compact 213 x 88 x 400 mm (WHD) and operates from 90 to 250 VAC, 30W.
