K-Tek introduces Traveler boom pole

K-Tek announces the Avalon Traveler, the first professional boom pole designed to fit into a standard equipment case.
With a minimum length of just 50.8 cm (20”), the Traveler stores quickly for easy, hassle-free transportation. Fully expanded, this versatile new six-section pole extends to a reach of two meters (79”).
Constructed of lightweight, durable aluminum tubing, the Traveler is ideal for ENG, EFP, and DV production. The pole’s coupling system provides maximum holding power and minimum torque. K-Tek’s proprietary 'captive collett' ensures jam-resistant coupling. Every unit is fitted with the company’s unique pole top featuring cable retaining slots and a replaceable stainless steel threaded mounting stud.
The Traveler is available in a U-wired version (#KE-79), or with an internally wired coiled cord, a Nuetrik female XLR on the top pigtail, and a Switchcraft male XLR in the base (#KE-79CC).
