Autodesk begins shipping VIZ 2006

Autodesk has begun shipping VIZ 2006, the professional design visualisation software that helps artists realise their ideas through 3D modelling, rendering and animation.
Autodesk VIZ 2006 features new tools that enhance interoperability with other Autodesk design applications and for creating and managing content, such as tool palettes, and a new content browser for cameras, lights and materials.
New VIZ 2006 features include file link with any Autodesk application that supports DWG, such as Autodesk Revit Building, AutoCAD, Autodesk Architectural Desktop and Autodesk 3ds Max Software. This integration makes it easy to use VIZ 2006 to produce high quality, photo realistic renderings directly from Autodesk design applications. Autodesk VIZ 2006 also boasts improved interoperatibility with Autodesk Inventor files.
New tool palettes in VIZ 2006 provide instant access to a large inventory of Autodesk VIZ objects such as cameras, lights, and materials in one consistent user interface. The highly visual tool palettes in VIZ 2006 include a preview icon of each tool. Lighting advances utilise mental ray 3.3 rendering technology, with improved interface, indirect illumination and a simplified global illumination user interface.
