Mike Rhine joins da Vinci as Vice President of Finance

Da Vinci Systems have announced that Mike Rhine has been named as Vice President of Finance.
Previously with parent company Acterna, Inc. for five years, Rhine will be responsible for da Vinci's finance, operations, and IT departments, and will work closely with the R&D, marketing, and sales divisions to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, improve profitability, and drive top-line growth.
Bill Robertson, General Manager at da Vinci said: "Adding Mike to the executive team is a coup for da Vinci.
"Mike has utilized his foresight and attention to detail with great success at Acterna. Having worked with our parent company for several years, he's already familiar with da Vinci and will transition easily to facilitating the goals and activities of our company. We're all looking forward to seeing the impact he'll make on da Vinci's continued growth and success."
Prior to joining da Vinci, Rhine held various positions in Acterna's corporate finance organization, starting in 2000 as director of corporate finance and investor relations, and more recently as corporate treasurer, where he was responsible for Acterna's cash, debt, and banking operations; risk management; and the maintenance of strong creditor and shareholder relationships.
On completing an MBA in 1997 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rhine joined International Business Machines (IBM). He held several positions over three years of employment at IBM, culminating as manager of worldwide cost management and planning, before leaving to join Acterna.
"da Vinci has innovative and loyal customers, and a terrific base of suppliers and business partners," said Rhine. "As post production has evolved, so too has da Vinci. I'm very excited to contribute to this continued growth and leadership in the colour enhancement and image restoration industry."
