WESTON WINS THE BATTLE FOR THE SOUND OSCAR

GLADIATOR’S Sound Man Ken Weston has won the battle for the coveted sound Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards.
Weston used Audio radio mics on ‘Gladiator’ not to mention scores of other films over his years in the film industry.
Audio Ltd were delighted to have supplied the radio mics used in four of the five films nominated for best sound at this year’s US Academy Awards.
Audio’s MD, Kishore Patel, said: “We are thrilled that our mics were used in ‘Gladiator’ and extremely proud that our radio mic features so heavily in the films nominated for their exceptional sound performance by the film industry.”
This is not the first time Audio Ltd have been involved with an Oscar-winning movie: two years’ ago box office blockbuster ‘Titanic’ used the mics extensively, particularly in the difficult action scenes.
