Analogue to SDI with embedded audio made simple by DTL

First used at the Athens Olympics and since ordered by broadcasters such as the BBC, BSkyB and CBS News, DTL's new MiniBlox provides a cost-effective solution to a host of problems at broadcast quality and at an unbelievable price.
The rugged all-in-one miniature unit converts composite analogue video to SDI, then embeds two stereo analogue audio pairs into the SDI. Video conversion uses a 10-bit ADC with 4-line adaptive comb filtering. Audio is converted to digital using a 24-bit ADC. The audio can be inserted into any group, and adjustable full scale audio input levels meet all international standards.
This is just one unit in DTL Broadcast’s expanding MiniBlox range, which includes analogue & digital audio embedders & de-embedders, analogue to SDI & SDI to analogue converters and analogue, SDI & HD-SDI video distribution amplifiers. Units can be used individually with external power supplies or up to five can be housed in the 1RU centrally powered rack-mounting frame.
