Plymouth Media-Partnership reveals robust autumn calendar

The Plymouth Media-Partnership (PM-P) has announced a strong programme of events for autumn.
At ITV West Country on Wednesday November 17 a panel of speakers will debate ‘The Future of Regional Programmes’. Topics to be raised include the future of ITV regional programming and the role of Ofcom and the BBC.
The distinguished panel will include Clive Jones, Chief Executive, ITV News Group; Jane McCloskey, ITV Controller of Regional Programmes – South; John Lilley, Head of Local & Regional Programmes, BBC South West; Peter Monteith, Regional TV Manager, Ofcom; and Margaret Scott, Nations and Regions, Pact.
On Friday December 3 PM-P, in association with Creative Partnerships Cornwall & Plymouth and Culture South West, will be running Screen 2004. This event promises to be an exciting opportunity for school children in Plymouth and the surrounding area to experience cutting edge media and new media activities. The organisation will be hosting a series of workshops aimed at children between 13 and 17 years of age from schools with strengths in arts, ICT and computing. There will be presentations from the South West Archive as well as Careers Guidance talks by the BBC. There will also be an opportunity to hear about some new initiatives and a chance for teachers to meet with media and new media professionals at an informal evening reception.
