SmallHD Debuts Focus 504 Monitor With PageOS And Expanded I/O

SmallHD has unveiled the Focus 504, a five-inch on-camera monitor that pairs a low-profile design with a rugged die-cast aluminium chassis, professional-grade inputs and outputs, and the built-in PageOS monitoring toolkit. Optional add-on licences will enable camera control for leading cinema cameras.

Billed as SmallHD's thinnest monitor to date at 5.4 x 3.5 x 0.8 in (136 x 88 x 20mm) and weighing 0.68lbs (306.25g), the Focus 504 features four integrated 1/4"-20 (ARRI® Locking Pin) mounting points to support flexible rigging and accessories.

Connectivity includes 1x 3G-SDI In, 1x 3G-SDI Out, 1x HDMI 2.0 In, 1x HDMI 2.0 Out, 1x Locking USB-C for PVC (Power / Video / Communication), and 2x Locking USB-C (5V / 1.5A). Internal 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi supports cable-less camera control. The edge-lit 1920 x 1080 display is rated up to 1000nits and covers 100% Rec.709 with 10-bit processing (8-bit panel).

Operators can navigate PageOS via the touchscreen, a rear joystick and two function/menu buttons. Popular PageOS tools include Portrait Mode, Waveform, Vectorscope, EL Zone, False Color, LUT workflows and more. Add-on licences (sold separately) will provide camera control for ARRI®, RED®, Canon and Sony models.
