Corus Entertainment Launches New STACKTV App

Corus Entertainment has launched the new STACKTV app, giving Canadian viewers more ways to stream Corus content in one place across a wider range of devices. The app is now available on select supported platforms.

With a free account, viewers can immediately stream thousands of hours of TV shows and films, 24/7 Global News channels, and select episodes of Global’s hit prime-time series for seven days after their broadcast premieres. For the full STACKTV experience within the app, users can link a STACKTV subscription through Prime Video for $14.99/month to access live and on-demand shows, films and specials across Corus’ 15 leading networks (Global, Flavour Network, Home Network, W Network, The HISTORY® Channel, Adult Swim, Slice, Showcase, National Geographic, Lifetime, DTOUR, Cartoon Network, Treehouse, YTV, and Disney Channel). Alternatively, viewers can link their TV provider to access networks included in their cable package, with the exception of YTV, Treehouse, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel and DTOUR, which can only be unlocked with a STACKTV subscription. STACKTV access for Rogers, Bell and Eastlink customers will be available in the coming weeks.

The new STACKTV app is taking over the current Global TV app, offering the same premium streaming experience with a refreshed look, access to more content and improved functionality.

It is initially available on Roku, iOS (iPhone and iPad) and the web, with a rolling launch this autumn on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs and Samsung Tizen Smart TVs. Timing is subject to change. Once the rollout is complete, the Global TV app will be phased out and viewers on globaltv.com will be redirected to STACKTV.ca as the new web destination for Corus content.
