UK Screen Alliance Launches INsight '26 Business Conference
UK Screen Alliance has announced INsight '26: The Post-Production and VFX Business Conference, a one-day event aimed at senior leaders across the post-production and visual effects sectors.
Taking place on Thursday 8 October 2026 at the Courthouse Hotel in Soho, London, the conference will examine the business forces reshaping the industry, with a particular focus on strategy, market intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
The event comes as production patterns continue to shift, workforce models evolve and artificial intelligence begins to transform creative and technical workflows. UK Screen Alliance says the conference is designed to provide business leaders with the insight needed to remain competitive, resilient and positioned for growth.
Rather than focusing on the latest technology developments, INsight '26 will examine the wider commercial realities facing post-production and VFX companies. The programme will include new research into production activity, VFX spending, workforce trends, business performance and the broader screen sector.
A key session, 'Finding the Growth: What is the data telling us?', will present new UK Screen Alliance-commissioned research examining the impact of the VFX tax credit uplift, current UK VFX spending, sector growth and GVA. The session will also analyse data from the World VFX Atlas on global workforce trends.
Other sessions will address a range of strategic and operational challenges facing the industry.
'Recognising the Value of Post' will examine how post-production companies can rethink their bids to better reflect the creative and production value they contribute to projects.
Meanwhile, 'Integrating AI: Practicality over hype' will consider where artificial intelligence is delivering tangible time and cost savings today, while 'Fix it or Risk it! Content Security in the Age of AI' will explore emerging cyber threats and the evolving requirements around content security.
Sustainability will also feature on the agenda through 'How Green is Your Facility?', which will examine the specific environmental challenges faced by post-production facilities.
UK Screen Alliance has brought together a broad group of industry specialists for the conference, representing major areas of the post-production, VFX and wider screen industries.
The speaker line-up includes Chuck Parker, CEO of Sohonet; Terri Davies, President of the Trusted Partner Network (TPN); Joseph Bell, author of the World VFX Atlas; Charly Conquest, Responsible Productions Lead at Sky Entertainment Group; Saint John Walker, Programme leader of postgraduate media at the University of Hertfordshire; Gareth Kirkman, UK Business and Industry Development Manager at the British Film Commission; Dan Marbrook, Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Production at The Look; Hayley Miller, Founder of World VFX Day; Andy McNamara, Generative AI Lead at Cinesite; Alethea Lindsay, Sustainability Consultant at Cut the Carbon; Steve MacPherson, Chief Technology Officer at Milk Visual Effects; Thom Berryman, Managing Director Feature & Episodic UK at Harbor Picture Company; and Matt Town, Head of Post Production UK at Netflix.
The speakers will bring perspectives from across technology, cybersecurity, VFX business intelligence, sustainability and the future of media production. UK Screen Alliance said further speakers and the full conference programme will be announced this week.
Early bird tickets for INsight ’26 have already sold out, while general admission tickets remain available. The ticket includes refreshments, a buffet lunch and access to the networking drinks reception.
The event is supported by Sohonet, farmerswife, Cirkus, Tysers and AIMICI, whose services and expertise address a range of operational, technological and business challenges facing post-production and VFX companies.
