Boland Communications To Debut 55-Inch 4K Professional Video Wall Monitor

Boland Communications will unveil the European debut of its new 4K55HDR7SNB 55-inch professional monitor at IBC2026, taking place Sept. 11-14 at the RAI Amsterdam, where the company will showcase the display at stand 12.C57.

Designed for tiled video wall applications, the new monitor combines native 4K resolution with 12G-SDI connectivity and optional ST 2110 support, alongside a super-narrow bezel intended to reduce the visible gap between adjacent displays. The design targets broadcast, sports and production environments where operators need to monitor multiple high-resolution sources across large display walls.

Each 4K55HDR7SNB features a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 and supports 4K signal input over 12G-SDI and ST 2110, allowing facilities to maintain end-to-end 4K workflows. Multiple displays can be tiled together to create large-format monitoring walls for control rooms and production operations.

Boland said the display is aimed particularly at sports production, where operators often need to monitor numerous camera feeds, program outputs, graphics and replay sources simultaneously while preserving image detail across individual screens.

"Sports production is one of the places where we're seeing particularly strong demand for larger, higher-resolution monitor walls," said Mike Boland, president of Boland Communications. "Production teams are monitoring more sources, more cameras and more 4K content, and they still need to see everything clearly at a glance."

The monitor supports both 4096 × 2160 and 3840 × 2160 formats at frame rates up to 60p, with 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connectivity. It also supports HDR formats including PQ (ST 2084), Hybrid Log-Gamma and S-Log3, with brightness of up to 700 nits for studio environments and on-camera visibility.

The 4K55HDR7SNB also includes professional monitoring tools such as waveform and vectorscope displays, 3D LUT support, selectable color temperatures, Safe Area markers and monitoring for up to 16 de-embedded audio channels with on-screen metering. Each unit ships precalibrated and supports advanced calibration workflows through Light Illusion ColourSpace and Portrait Calman software.

Beyond sports broadcasting, Boland said the monitor is intended for broadcast control rooms, studios and other mission-critical production environments requiring large-scale, high-resolution monitoring.
