Boland Unveils QD-OLED Monitor Range

News Image
Boland Communications has announced it will introduce a new QD-OLED monitor lineup at the NAB Show 2026, headlined by the 31.5-inch QD4K315HDR10 designed for high-end production and post workflows.

The new monitor combines Quantum Dot and OLED technologies to deliver enhanced colour accuracy, deep contrast, and expanded colour gamut, providing production teams with greater confidence when evaluating content across live production, film, post-production, and broadcast environments. Boland is also launching a 27-inch model in the same series, aimed at workflows where space is more limited.

Built to support modern SDR and HDR pipelines, the QD4K315HDR10 is compatible with key HDR formats including PQ (ST 2084), Hybrid Log-Gamma (BT.2111), and S-Logs, allowing for precise monitoring of high dynamic range content prior to distribution.

The monitor is equipped with 4K support via 12G-SDI—available in single or quad-link—as well as HDMI 2.0 connectivity, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of formats and frame rates. It also introduces ST 2110 support with NMOS accessory integration for full IP-based workflows. Integrated tools such as waveform, vectorscope, false colour, and 3D LUTs are included to support accurate shading and grading decisions.

"The industry continues to push for higher brightness, wider colour gamut, and greater accuracy in HDR production," said Mike Boland, founder and CEO of Boland Communications. "By combining quantum dot and OLED technologies, this new QD series gives our customers a clearer, more accurate view of their content before it leaves the facility—whether they're working in live production, mobile units, or post."

The QD4K315HDR10 features 1000 nits peak brightness, a contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1, and coverage of 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space. Its lightweight aluminium construction and flexible remote control options—including IP, NMOS, IR, GPI, and RS-232/422—make it suitable for a variety of production environments, from control rooms to on-set applications.

The new monitors will be showcased at the NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 18–22 at Boland’s booth, C3519.
