Waves Introduces Hear Technologies Dante-WSG XS Compact Audio Bridge

Waves has announced the Hear Technologies Dante-WSG XS, a compact and affordable hardware bridge designed to connect Dante® audio networks directly to Waves SoundGrid systems. Offering a dramatically smaller footprint than previous 1RU iterations, the newly designed interface delivers a budget-friendly way to scale live sound, broadcast, and fixed installation systems. The device is optimized for the recently launched Waves eMotion LV1 Classic console as well as legacy SuperRack platforms, providing an efficient path for engineers seeking to expand their setups into ubiquitous Dante-based workflows.

Dante-WSG XS delivers the trusted low-latency audio networking performance users expect from Waves SoundGrid systems, while fitting easily into streamlined rigs and mobile setups. Supporting 64 channels of bidirectional audio between Dante and SoundGrid at 44.1-48 kHz sample rates and 32 channels at 88-96 kHz, the Dante-WSG XS provides a streamlined and dependable solution for connecting SoundGrid systems to Dante networks.

Its compact half-rack design makes it ideal for flypacks, portable production systems, houses of worship, touring engineers and compact installations where space matters. Measuring just 8.66” W x 1.64” H x 8.95” D and weighing only 3 lb., the Dante-WSG XS is easy to integrate into both mobile and fixed setups and can be conveniently mounted on a rack shelf or with optional rack-mount accessories.
