Profuz Digital To Unveil Major AI-Powered Upgrade To Profuz LAPIS

Profuz Digital is set to showcase a major upgrade to its Profuz LAPIS digital media management platform at IBC 2026, where the company will demonstrate the latest capabilities at Stand 8.A88.

The enhanced platform introduces a range of AI-driven features designed to improve asset management, media workflows and content intelligence. Existing Profuz LAPIS customers, including France Galop, Canal+ France, Council of Europe and Bulgarian National Radio, have invested in the platform’s ability to provide a comprehensive solution for managing and maximising the value of digital assets.

The latest version of LAPIS adds AI-assisted search across all data types and fields, alongside improvements to on-the-fly reporting, archive module restoration, lifecycle management, metadata handling, video playback and subtitle generation. The platform also introduces enriched multi-source analysis combining speech recognition, face detection and content fingerprinting.

Integrated with new AI transcription capabilities in Profuz Digital’s SubtitleNEXT platform, the enhancements are designed to improve localisation efficiency and provide greater intelligence across broadcast workflows.

Additional new features in LAPIS include S3 Glacier integration, file duplication checking, live subtitle stream generation, an enhanced media player with variable speed rewind and fast-forward functionality, ElevenLabs API integration, an external processing server with automatic content fingerprinting, embedded metadata handling of files, image extraction from high-resolution video, multilingual rich text fields, media source selection for the media player and marker customisation through the user interface.

The platform is designed to combine information from multiple sources to create richer insights, including the pairing of speech recognition with face detection to deliver more accurate analysis of media content.

Profuz Digital said LAPIS enables organisations to manage a wide range of media assets, including news, images, audio, movies, documentaries, series, clips and promotions, by centralising data securely in one system while supporting advanced searching, filtering, metadata tagging and sorting.
