WorldCast Systems Introduces Ecreso SwitchOver

News Image
WorldCast Systems has launched the Ecreso SwitchOver, a new 1+1 control unit for its Ecreso AiO Series FM transmitters, designed to improve redundancy, monitoring and operational resilience for broadcast transmission sites.

The new system combines Ecreso's RF transmission expertise with Audemat's experience in monitoring, telemetry and control to provide broadcasters with an integrated platform for managing transmitter redundancy and maintaining on-air continuity.

According to the company, the Ecreso SwitchOver has been designed to provide more than RF switching, offering advanced monitoring and control capabilities that give operators visibility into transmitter status both locally and remotely.

The unit is engineered to maintain broadcast continuity even in the event of a control system failure. Dual power supplies are intended to eliminate a single point of failure within the power system, while connected transmitters remain operational in their current state should the control unit itself fail, helping to avoid interruptions to on-air services.

Designed for modern networked broadcast environments, the Ecreso SwitchOver supports secure HTTPS communications and SNMPv3 for remote management. The platform also incorporates multi-level user management with configurable access rights, allowing operators to control who can view, configure or manually switch the system.

WorldCast said the unit has also undergone an independent security audit to validate its protection against cyber threats. In addition, a built-in scheduler enables automated switching and control operations, reducing the need for manual intervention during routine broadcast operations.
