Anton/Bauer's Eden Gains Full cUL/UL Certification

Anton/Bauer, a Videndum brand specialising in mobile power for broadcast and cinema, says its EDEN Mobile Power Station has achieved full cUL/UL certification.

The designation makes EDEN the only Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in its class cleared for professional deployment on both sides of the US–Canada border, addressing increasingly stringent safety rules from global streamers, studios and fire marshals.

With regulators and insurers drawing a clear line between “compliant” and “certified,” Anton/Bauer notes that EDEN was independently evaluated rather than relying on internal tests or workarounds. The unit is now UL Listed in the US and cUL Listed in Canada, confirming standards for electrical safety, fire‑risk mitigation and mechanical integrity.

Studios and broadcasters in the US are increasingly making certification a prerequisite for access to sets. In Canada, inspectors and provincial authorities have been removing non‑cUL systems from locations, triggering costly interruptions and delays.

Certification confirms EDEN meets key safety benchmarks: effective thermal management during sustained high loads; advanced protection against short circuits and overcurrent events; verified fault containment; and robust construction suitable for commercial and broadcast use.
