LiveLike Expands Global Fan Engagement Footprint

News Image

LiveLike is powering eight World Cup activations across five continents in what the company says is its largest simultaneous global deployment to date.

The activations span North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, covering a broad range of organisations across the sports media landscape, including broadcasters, OTT platforms, payment providers and national football associations.

The deployments are designed to operate at tournament scale, supporting simultaneous traffic spikes across multiple time zones as global audiences engage with one of the world's most-watched sporting events. Features being deployed include prediction games through Play Predictor+, loyalty leaderboards, trivia, squad selection tools, community experiences and gamified rewards programmes.

The rollout reflects a wider trend in sports media, where rights holders are increasingly seeking to convert passive viewers into more engaged and identifiable audiences through interactive and data-driven experiences.

Among the confirmed activations is CazeTV in Brazil, where a prediction game developed with sponsor iFood is expected to drive record levels of platform activity. Minute Media is also using the technology through its Sports Illustrated platform, running a match predictor that spans the entire tournament.

Additional deployments include a major European broadcaster operating a multi-event FanZone featuring gamification and rewards capabilities, as well as a global payments provider running wallet-based loyalty and leaderboard campaigns across Latin America.

The Football Association is also using LiveLike as part of its World Cup fan engagement strategy, while one of the largest sports media groups operating across North America and Europe has deployed multiple elements of the platform, including community tools, mini-games and audience engagement features.

Meanwhile, SBS has launched a match centre experience combining official World Cup statistics with interactive engagement tools.

The scale of the deployment highlights the growing demand for infrastructure capable of managing the rapid and unpredictable spikes in audience activity associated with major tournaments, where a single match moment can trigger millions of interactions across global markets.
