Kiloview Unveils U4 IP Video Dock

Kiloview has introduced the U4 IP Video Dock, a compact IP video decoder and output dock designed to connect professional IP video with unified communications (UC), presentation and monitoring workflows.

"Meeting and display systems are typically not designed for IP video workflows," said Judy Zuo, VP of Sales & Marketing at Kiloview. "Yet we see professional IP video moving beyond production and into everyday communication spaces, and U4 is part of our effort to make that transition simpler and easier for users."

The U4 converts network-based video streams into USB, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, allowing straightforward integration with established meeting and AV systems. Its USB UVC/UAC output enables plug-and-play operation with platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and OBS, while HDMI and DisplayPort support up to 4K60 for room displays, presentations and monitoring. A single IP source can be output simultaneously across these interfaces without additional software or system changes.

Engineered as a hardware decoding solution, the device supports major IP video protocols including NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, UDP, RTP and HLS, helping ensure interoperability across diverse workflows.

U4 aims to remove the need for extra software tools, virtual camera drivers or complex configuration. It offers up to 100 presets, API access and centralised control for quicker deployment and smarter room integration and management.

Its small, plug-and-play form factor suits a range of environments, from meeting tables and behind displays to lecterns, auditorium racks and mobile setups. It supports BYOD and BYOM scenarios to keep AV installations simple, tidy and flexible.
