Martin Audio TORUS System Supports Malwanchal University Convocation Ceremony

Malwanchal University in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has utilised a Martin Audio sound reinforcement system for its 5th Convocation Ceremony, with a deployment designed to provide clear and consistent audio coverage for the institution’s flagship graduation event.

Part of Central India's largest medical education group, Malwanchal University operates from a 65-acre campus and serves a student community of more than 11,000. The convocation, held in partnership with the Index Group of Institutions, brought together students, faculty members, dignitaries and invited guests to formally confer degrees and recognise academic achievement.

To support the event's audio requirements, local provider Patel DJ Sound deployed a Martin Audio system centred around TORUS T1215 constant curvature array elements alongside Blackline X218 subwoofers.

Designed to bridge the gap between line array and point-source systems, Martin Audio's TORUS range is engineered to provide high-output performance and consistent coverage across a range of applications.

The ceremony took place in the university's Central Auditorium, which can accommodate up to 2,000 attendees. The system configuration featured two flown arrays, each consisting of four TORUS T1215 elements, intended to provide controlled coverage and strong speech intelligibility for the event's spoken content. Blackline X218 subwoofers were also used to add low-frequency support.
